For initial, immediate visual reference, the laptop can be seen through a clear, quick-recognition window that is exposed when the bag is unfolded. The design of the laptop compartment is such that the X-ray image presented to the screener is the same as if the laptop were removed and placed in a bin. The Checkthrough bag and all of its contents can be carried securely with or without the hinge zipped shut, so it can be readied in line, prior to screening. Once through, simply pick up the bag and go, zipping it back up on the move or at the gate. It's well organized to let you see all the inside pockets at once and to hold objects of all sizes, including a DSLR camera. TSA has never hesitated to allow it to pass through, and my computer never needs to see another plastic bin, at least within the US. David CorbishleyI've been using one of these for a while now and it is great. Two nits; no bottle sleeve and the pad on the add-on shoulder strap tends to slide and curl up in use. M.H.I just returned from a trip and want to say how easy it was going through airport security. All I had to do was unzip my bag and send it through. No more hassle of having to take my computer out of the bag. There was a gentleman next to me that did not have a skooba checkpoint bag, I pointed out the unique features and I’m sure he will be ordering one soon.
