Skooba Design Introduces New Microsuede Laptop Bags and Skins

Rochester, NY, August 30, 2008—Skooba Design’s long list of fall/holiday introductions includes a new, “Midnight Luxe” laptop/business satchel in rich, black microsuede with silver accents, and new colors and fabrics in its “Skooba Skin” convertible laptop sleeve collection.

The “Midnight Luxe” edition of the popular Skooba Satchel is fully swathed in soft, deep black microsuedewith a quilted silver accent stripe. The metal hardware gleams with a highly polished silver finish, and the inside is lined with smooth, laptop- and gadget-friendly gray nylon. On the functional side, the Midnight Luxe offers a laptop compartment lined with Skooba’s Air Square protection system—hundreds of air-filled cells surrounding and protecting the computer—and sized to fit all 15/15.4 inch screen laptops as well as many larger models. Among the many other features are over 15 pockets, compartments and organizers, Skooba’s patent-pending “Superbungee” shock-absorbing shoulder pad, neoprene padded hand grips and a pop-out water bottle carrier that stows away completely flush and out of view when not in use. The bag is the second in Skooba’s Luxe Satchel offering, joining a pink and gray model that the company says has proven to be one of its most popular styles.

Skooba is also adding new flavors to its growing assortment of Skooba Skins—patent-pending laptop sleeves that convert to handled laptop totes with a quick “flip of the flap.” The new Skins, like the Luxe Satchel, are crafted in brushed microsuede on the outside, with scratch-free nylon lining. They are available in Plum, Tangerine and Lime colors and 3 different sizes, to fit virtually all laptops up to 17”.
